WHAT IS
SPAY/NEUTER/NOW (SNN) ?
Spay/Neuter/Now
(SNN) is a non-profit, grass roots
organization dedicated to reducing the companion pet over population in the
North Country through 3 programs.
(1)
A voucher program assisting persons on
low, fixed income, seniors, and persons on disability with the cost of spaying
or neutering their family pets.
(2) The Neuter Commuter is a
low cost mobile surgical unit
currently addressing the feral, stray, abandoned, homeless cat problems plaguing
all size communities. The Neuter
Commuter currently works in St. Lawrence, Jefferson and Franklin counties.
(3) Humane Education program
teaching children kindness, compassion & respect for animals and all living
things as well as providing adult humane education through workshops.
Helping
animals, people and communities is the organizations goal.

The voucher program
started in Oct. 1994. Has given financial assistance for over 5000 spay/neuters.
This helps animals by reducing the pet over population one animal at a
time.
The Neuter Commuter went on the road in 2004 and proved that the mobile
concept works! Now we are introducing the next generation of mobile clinics.
