The creator and director of this production is Gregory Popovich. All his pets in the production are strays and have been rescued from animal shelters. Mr. Popovich is an animal lover and he strongly promotes the practice of adopting a dog or cat from a shelter.

Mr. Popovich said, "Perhaps the show should have been called "Second Chance" because that is exactly what these animals have been given."
